THE NEW EAUX DE PARFUM

Impossible combinations, olfactive dualities and the art of contrast; the four new eaux de parfum from Dries Van Noten are an ode to eclecticism.

dries van noten vanille camouflage eau de parfum

VANILLE CAMOUFLAGE

The artful illusion of a green vanilla, Vanille Camouflage creates the sensation of softness on the skin. The green, resinous facets of galbanum transform a duo vanilla – the liquor notes of bourbon vanilla and the creamy, almond aspect of the Tahitensis – sublimating its complexity and richness. A unique and subtle layering that turns more and more intense.

A dual expression of fashion and art, the bottle fuses deep green glass and precious porcelain patterned with poetic, watercolour-style flowers as though lifted from a painting.

dries van noten crazy basil eau de parfum

CRAZY BASIL

An intensely green fragrance where basil is given centre stage. Crazy Basil is an overdose of freshness, as the use of absolu results in an aromatic generosity that wraps around a hot core of cedarwood. Like a vibrant expression of a herb garden amplified by amber richness and resinous accents, it brings new dynamism to this sun-drenched plant.

With chromatic intensity and affirming the mastery of color that is true to Dries Van Noten, the bottle boasts a minimalist duet of green; clear and cool, warm and saturated.

dries van noten camomille satin eau de parfum

CAMOMILLE SATIN

Camomille Satin reimagines the wildflower’s soft innocence by dousing it with the gourmand and leathery facets of vanilla. The bucolic day flower shifts to night mode. Like the fluid drape of precious satin, a tactile charm surfaces as an aromatic, amber juice that is at once softly decadent and sophisticated. An enveloping evocation of savoir-faire.

The bottle brings together powder pink glass and brushed metal covered in a gold brocade-inspired pattern.

dries van noten bitter splash eau de parfum

BITTER SPLASH

An invitation to escape, Bitter Splash charts a journey of exotic exploration. Cool, juicy pomelo and warm vegetal leather emerge as a sophisticated duality of freshness and sensuality. A sumptuous voyage into Dries Van Noten’s love for orientalism, where additional notes of powdery iris and vetiver enhance this chic evocation of texture and light.

The bottle marries the simplicity of glossy pop yellow glass with a decorative pattern inspired by the detailed art of Asian lacquer woodwork, suggesting a contrast between tradition and modernity.

Orange Blossom & Santal
“A beautiful duality of nature-inspired orange blossom with the contrast of sweet, opulent, milky, mature orange blossom; this flower can express so many different faces.”

Mint & Iris
“I wanted to express unconventional classicism through using orris, from iris root, which is so elegant and haute couture. But I wanted to shake it, to heckle it, with the energy of mint.”

“This is nature: unfiltered, with all its little flaws. This rose is not romantic: it is strangely beautiful, real, imperfect and ambiguous.”

“The rose is an icon for Dries but I wanted to disrupt its classicism to create a rose that is not a rose, not taking itself too seriously, ultra-modern and spicy.”

“In Dries world, antagonistic elements are combined to create surprise. This fragrance is like a light and dark olfactive pattern of fresh green leaves of clary sage aromatics rubbing against the woody leaves of patchouli.”

“The union of two opposites, yet perfectly and poetically balanced: resilient sandalwood with the lively, green leaf of fig - the everlasting and the ephemeral together.”

Rosemary & Patchouli
“I was inspired by the iconic Jimi Hendrix track. Rosemary and patchouli are the opposite forces in action here but the rosemary – like Hendrix’s guitar - is distorted to make it hot and dense.”

“Inspired by the Parisian boutique, with its elegant and precious textures, and its eclectic and mystical atmosphere, an overdose of myrrh is joined by resins of benzoin and cistus dressed up with cypress and pink pepper.”

Osmanthus & Suede
“I wanted to create a perfume of contrast using osmanthus which has a duality and unexpected quality. It appears innocent but it can be very sensual, almost animalic; this flower, that seems to be an angel, can turn devilish.”

“I fell in love with Dries’ silk dresses in his Quai Malaquais boutique. The texture was so fluid it merged with the skin, which gave me the idea for a silky, enveloping perfume, a mix of chestnut with sensual vanilla.”
